Tour de Chiba is a cycle sports event which is held at the Boso Peninsula in Chiba Prefecture. This event began in October 2006. The purpose of Tour de Chiba is to welcome cycling enthusiasts from all over the world in Chiba, to appreciate beautiful nature, to experience the limits of your own physical strength and have fun.

Also, Tour de Chiba is the event where you don’t compete in the speed level. Instead, you need to observe the traffic regulations and convention regulations, and those who finish a race are praised as winners.
Tour de Chiba supports the reconstruction after the Great Japan earthquake occurred in 2011 and donates a part of the entry fee to disaster areas.

Choose Your Course to Enjoy the Prefecture

When you take part in this tour, all participants will be divided into three kinds of groups by 25 people according to the experience, riding pace, and other criteria Group change is also possible on your way.

Stay Secure!

Participants’ emergency situations like mechanical troubles are corresponded by professionals. Mechanics wait at the starting point, the lunch stop, and the finish point.
Even during the course, vehicles that can respond such as the necessity to repair or in case of injury drive together with the group.
Please speak to the staff or the instructors and wait in the safe place.
However, maintenance may not be a free service.

An Instructor Drives With You

An experienced cyclist leads each group as an instructor. An exchange with the instructor is also one of the features of Tour de Chiba. You can also accomplish driving manners naturally.
Please actively contact the instructors and people from the same group and enjoy your ride! Driving in such a group will provide you with a totally different experience compared to cycling by yourself.

A Lunchbox with Chiba’s Taste

It is important for us to have meals and to rehydrate to be able to finish driving over a 70 km course.
At Aid station and luncheon venue, lunchboxes using local ingredients, bananas, energy supplement meals, sports drinks, water etc. are distributed and will be the source of the power for participants.
Hospitability of drums, dance performances, and local farm produces will cheer up your cycling routine.
Mechanics and medical teams also wait at aid stations and luncheon venues.

On 7th of October 2018, the starting point is at Choshi Sports Town Special Site the final point is Narita City Ooyatsu Baseball Stadium Special Site.

Finish: around 16: 30 p.m.

The entry fee includes bibs, participation souvenirs, insurance certificates, lunch, snacks, drinks etc. (including consumption tax). Participants must sign up for an accident insurance certificate.
